iOS: Mixing drinks is one of those indispensable party skills you never really knew you needed, and Top Shelf Drinks is a good way to keep a large number of drink recipes accessible in your pocket. The app features plenty of options you've heard of and many more that you haven't. But what's particularly neat about the app is that it doesn't really require you to look for a specific drink. You can tell it what ingredients you have on hand and it can suggest only drinks you're able to make. It can even pick one at random if you're particularly indecisive.
Discovering new drinks is pretty simple if you have some idea of what you're looking for. You can, of course, use the random feature to select anything at all, but if you have a particular ingredient in mind you can view recipes based on that. You're also not limited to the drink recipes Top Shelf Drinks provides. If you make your own, or come across one it doesn't have, you can add it. The app is really comprehensive, provides lots of great was to access tons of information, and isn't limited to what it provides. If you're learning to bartend or just want a good drink library for home parties, Top Shelf Drinks is a great app to get.
If you're looking for an Android equivalent, check out Bartender.
