After pleading not guilty in August 2013 to charges of domestic violence and vandalism, 50 Cent has gotten a bit of a break, according to his lawyer.
All domestic violence charges against the 38-year-old rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, have been dismissed.
"The agreement called for Mr. Jackson to plead no contest to a single count of misdemeanor vandalism, which deals with the door of the apartment that was damaged and owned by the landlord," says his attorney Scott Leemon in a statement. "All remaining counts, including, the domestic violence charge will be dismissed. He has agreed to perform community service, attend counseling sessions and will be on unsupervised probation for a period of three years."
The original charges came about after 50 Cent was accused of kicking his ex-girlfriend Daphne Narvaez and destroying her Los Angeles condo in an argument on June 23, 2013.
At the time, the hip hop star was facing up to five years in prison and $46,000 worth of fines, but according to the agreement, he will instead perform community service and attend counseling sessions during his three-year probation.
